Ingredients:
-
1.5 cups milk
-
2/3 cup freshly brewed espresso
-
Sugar (to taste)
-
2 Glasses (Capacity around 160-200
ml)
Preparation:
1. In a separate dish, heat
milk over low heat until very hot, do not boil. If a skin forms on the
surface of the milk, remove it and discard.
2. Divide freshly brewed
espresso between the glasses than pour 1/3 cup hot milk into each. Add
sugar, if desired.
3. Using an electric mixer
or wire whisk, beat the remaining hot milk until frothy (unlike the foaming
procedure, the milk should be mixed with less air). Spoon foam into glasses
and dust with cocoa, nutmeg or cinnamon powder.
Makes 2 servings
NOTE: Italians usually
don't froth the milk, that is our invention, they just use hot milk. |
