Microwave Oven Tips
Always attend microwave oven when cooking. Be watchful, if paper, plastic or other cumbustibles are placed inside the oven.

Do not cook bacon directly on the turntable. Excessive local heating of the turntable may cause it to break.

Do not operate microwave oven empty, because your oven can be damaged.

Do not heat baby bottles or baby food in the microwave oven; uneven heating may occur and could cause physical injury.

Never microwave eggs in the shell since they may explode.

Do not attempt to deep-fry in your microwave oven as that may cause a fire in the cavity.

Incorent use of browning dish may cause the turntable to break. Follow manufacturer's instructions for browning dish. The bottom of browning dish must be at least 3/16 inch (5 mm) above the turntable. Incorrect use may cause the turntable to break.

For reheating and short-term cooking, use microwave safe dishes only. Follow manufacturers instructions and do not use cracked or chipped dishes.

Do not use wire twist ties in microwave oven. They may cause arcing and could cause fire in the oven.

Never use plastic foam cups or plates in microwave oven. They may melt or contaminate the liquid or food inside when exposed to high temperature.

Do not use wood in the microwave oven, it may split or crack.

Never use regular glass jars for cooking in microwave oven. You can use regular glass jars without lids for short-term warming only. Most regular glass jars are not heat resistant and may break. Only heat resistant glassware without metal trim may be used for microwave oven cooking.

Do not use aluminum foil in microwave oven; use parchment paper (or wax paper) as a cover to prevent spattering or a wrap for steaming. Use with supervision for a short-term cooking only.

All plastic dishes used in microwave oven should have label "Microwave Safe". Other plastic containers may melt, soften or contaminate the liquid or food inside when exposed to high temperature.

Never use aluminum tray in microwave oven, because it may cause arcing. Transfer the frozen dinner or other food into microwave-safe dish before cooking.

Paper towels can be used to cover food for reheating and absorbing fat. Use with supervision for a short-term cooking only.

Always check food during defrosting. Place foods in a flat microwave-safe baking dish or roasting rack to catch drippings.

Try to remove frozen food from its original wraper or package. When it is difficult to remove the wrap, remove it at pause. Food should be somewhat icy in the center when removed from the oven.

As with any other appliance, children should use the microwave oven only under adult supervision.

Regular cleaning of microwave oven is very important. Never use cleaning powders or rough pads. Wipe the oven inside and outside with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Than rinse and wipe dry. This should be done on a weekly basis or more often if needed. Extensive oil splatters on the inside top will be difficult to remove if left for many days. Wipe spatters with a wet papper towel, especially after cooking meat or bacon.

Did You Know?
Liquids, such as beverages, that are heated in a microwave oven can overheat beyond their boiling point without any evidence of bubbling. This could result in hot liquids suddenly boiling over or erupting.

To prevent this occurrence, the following steps should be taken:
- Avoid using straight-sided containers with narrow necks.
- Do not overheat. Stir the liquid before placing the container in the oven and again halfway through the heating time.
- After heating, allow to stand in the oven for a short time, stirring again before carefully removing the container.
