Boston Corn Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
2 cups sour milk
2/3 cup molasses
1 cup all purpose flour
4 cups corn meal
1 teaspoon soda
Preparation:
- Make a
dough and steam for three hours.
- When
done, brown
for a few minutes in the oven.
NOTE: The
same can be made of regular milk, just use baking powder instead of
baking soda. The bread
is equally as good.
TIP:
If you don't have sour milk, add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice or plain
vinegar to the
regular milk and let it stand for about 15 minutes before use.
