Egg Biscuits
Ingredients:
4 cups all purpose flour
3 heaping
teaspoons of baking powder
2 ounces butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1¼ cups milk
Preparation:
- Sift
together flour and three heaping teaspoons of baking powder.
- Rub
butter into flour mixture
thoroughly.
- Add two
well-beaten eggs, a
tablespoon
of sugar, a teaspoon of salt and mix it all together quickly with milk into a soft
dough. Add more
milk if needed.
- Roll out
nearly half of an
inch
thick. Cut into biscuits, and bake immediately in a quick oven for
about fifteen
to twenty minutes.
