Ingredients:
2 cups strawberries puree
1 orange,
juice only
3 Tbsp. lemon
juice
3/4 cup sugar
2 cups water
1 Tbsp. vodka
or orange
liquor
Preparation:
Cook 2 cups
of water and
3/4 cup of sugar for about 7 minutes. Set aside to chill.
Puree ripe
strawberries in
a blender or food processor. Measure 2 cups puree.
In a large
bowl mix the strawberries
puree, sugar syrup, vodka or orange liquor, orange juice and lemon
juice.
Mix well and chill.
Pour into
ice cream maker
and follow manufacturer's directions.
TIP: About 2
pounds of strawberries will give you approximate 2 cups of puree.
