Homemade Ketchup

Ingredients:
1 can tomato paste (12 oz)
1 cup honey
1 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth.
- When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.
- Remove pan from heat and cover until cool. Chill and store in a covered container.
Makes 3 cups.
NOTE: This recipe is
very easy to make using a crock pot. Just whisk everything together
in a small crockpot and cook on low for about an hour stirring every so
often! Tastes like Heinz Ketchup.
TIPS: For slightly different and healthy taste, substitute organic apple cider vinegar for the white vinegar, and
maple syrup for the honey.
