This is also very nice sauce when flavored with the juice of raspberries or strawberries. You can also beat into it a cup of ripe strawberries or raspberries.
1/3 cup butter, softened at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. In a medium mixing bowl, cream the butter.
2. Add the sugar gradually, and then add the flavoring.
3. Beat until the sauce is light and creamy.
4. Serve immediately.
