Clam Fritters

Ingredients:
1 large egg
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose or bread flour
Pinch of salt
Clams
Oil for frying
Preparation:
- Beat the egg and half the milk, adding the flour gradually, to make the
batter smooth. Salt, and add the last half-cup of milk.
- Put one clam
into one teaspoon of batter and drop into hot oil.
- Serve hot.
